We may be heading into the last few weeks of summer, but Spain‘s sunny Costa Brava beckons year-round, particularly from a sleek contemporary villa in the exclusive Altea Hills enclave, about 35 miles north of the ancient city of Alicante.

Cleaved to a cliff with 180-degree views of the sea, the 9,600-square-foot abode flows across three levels, connected via both an elevator and a statement staircase. The boxy build, made of natural stone sourced from Persia, features a staggered roof system that allows for plenty of outdoor space and terraced gardens on every floor.

An open great room comprises the main entertaining spaces, including a modern designer kitchen and a dining area that flows through to an outdoor terrace. Here, the outdoor dining area sits next to a small infinity pool, and a separate hot tub is found a bit farther afield.

The four bedrooms include a primary bedroom that looks out on tropical landscaping and the Mediterranean. A home theater with a ceiling that mimics the night sky and a fully equipped gym with a sauna round out the amenities. The Altea Hills villa is on the market for a hair under $7 million with Spain Sotheby’s International Realty.

Altea Hills is perhaps not the best-known area of Spain, but the views from the property are hard to beat, comparable to those found on the island of Mallorca. In recent months, Oaktree Capital Management co-founder Howard Marks spun two side-by-side villas on the market for a cool $70 million, while a $27 million property sought to set a record in the island’s Costa d’en Blanes region.
