Madonna and Charli xcx have joined forces on a new track, ‘Danceteria Afterhours’. Listen below.

A rework of Madonna’s original track ‘Danceteria’, which appeared on July’s ‘Confessions II’ LP, the collaboration brings together the two artists’ respective origins and the influences that have shaped their music. The release follows Madonna and Charli’s joint Club Confessions party with Saint Laurent during Paris Fashion Week in June.

Rumours of a collaboration between the two artists had been building in recent months, following a series of exchanges between Madonna and Charli xcx on social media. Earlier this week, the pair confirmed those rumours by teasing ‘Danceteria Afterhours’ in an Instagram reel.

The preview was shared alongside the caption, “Let’s take it to the East side baby……” and today’s date (24th September).

A three-track CD single featuring the ‘Afterhours’ mix with Charli xcx, Harry Romero’s remix and the original version is also available to pre-order here, alongside new exclusive merch.

The remix marks the first release of new material by Charli xcx since she put out her latest album, ‘Music, Fashion, Film’, in July. She’s currently on tour in the US, and is donating a portion of the ticket sales to the Transgender Law Center.
