Kelela and PinkPantheress link up on new single, ‘the bridge’: Listen

Kelela has collaborated with PinkPantheress on a new single, ‘the bridge’. Listen below.

The track will feature on Kelela’s third studio album, ‘new avatar’, out this Friday (10th July) via Warp Records, alongside previously released singles ‘idea 1’, ‘link nb’, ‘point blank’ and ‘outta time’. The LP is inspired by Kelela’s roots in Washington, D.C.’s independent music scene, and includes guest contributions from A.K. Paul and Fousheé.

‘new avatar’ will be Kelela’s second full-length of the year, following live album ‘In The Blue Light’, recorded during a special one-off show at legendary NYC jazz club The Blue Note in May 2025.

The album will be supported by Kelela’s previously announced New Avatar Live world tour, which kicks off in North America on 8th September before heading to Europe in the autumn, including a date at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on 4th November. Tickets are available now.

An accompanying video for ‘the bridge’ will be released on 10th July.

The remix edition of Kelela’s second studio album, 2023’s ‘Raven’, featured edits by the likes of Loraine James, Shygirl, DJ Swisha, and more.

This spring, PinkPantheress released the ‘Girl Like Me’ music video with Davina McCall, and shared a Four Tet remix of her hit single, ‘Illegal’. Earlier this year, she became the first woman to win the BRITs Producer of the Year award.
