Lily-Rose Depp Puts an It-Girl Spin on the Errands Outfit

When it comes to her summer style, Lily-Rose Depp is taking cues from her French It-Girl forebear.

Yesterday, the actor made a critical matcha stop at Dialog Cafe in Los Angeles, where she wore a three-quarter-length tee in the palest pink with a pair of black capris. But Depp offered a stylish update on a simple errands outfit.

Depp knows well that when color takes a back seat, other elements like silhouette and texture take center stage. She opted for the former, wearing a shirt from Cou Cou Intimates that borrows from Jane Birkin’s favorite silhouette: a slightly flared sleeve, dipped hem, and picot trim. (The shirt has gained something of a cult status, with fans spanning Vogue editors to Kaia Gerber and Hailey Bieber.)

She took the same approach to her pants. While Depp could’ve easily opted for a pair of form-fitting pedal-pushers, she instead chose airy, below-the-knee balloon pants—not only an on-trend pick, but perfect for a hot summer day. While the rest of her accessories (cat-eye sunglasses and a Chanel purse) were also low-key picks, the actor injected her outfit with a zap of vibrant color, finishing off her breezy look with a pair of cobalt suede ballet flats.

Getting dressed on a hot day is no easy feat, and sometimes the path of least resistance wins out. But with intriguing silhouettes, updated cuts, and bright colors in her arsenal, Lily-Rose Depp is elevating even the simplest errand outfit.
