Amelie Lens and Angèle announce collaborative single, ‘run’

Amelie Lens and Angèle have teased a new collaborative single, ‘run’, which is set for release on 7th August.

The pair first previewed the track earlier this month when Angèle made a surprise on-stage cameo during Lens’ set at Belgium’s Dour Festival.

The single is taken from Lens’ forthcoming LP, ‘AURA’, due for release on 4th September via EXHALE Records. The album was announced in May alongside the lead single ‘our frequency’.

‘run’ is the only collaborative track on the record, and combines Angèle’s rich, velvety vocals with rapid-fire techno percussion and sci-fi synths.

Speaking about the track in an interview with DJ Mag at Tomorrowland, Lens said that she hopes the track will be the first that her baby will hear when she is born later this year. Watch the interview below.

It’s the latest in a series of announcements from Lens, including news of a huge open-air show at Antwerp’s Royal Museum of Fine Arts to celebrate her album release. Produced in collaboration with the City of Antwerp, the 14,000-capacity show will run from 2PM –11PM on Saturday 5th September.
