The Avalanches are set to join DJ Mag for an opening keynote interview at this year’s AVA London conference.

The conversation will be led by DJ Mag’s digital staff writer Olivia Stock, who will sit down with the Australian duo to discuss their forthcoming fourth album, ‘No Bad Memories’, alongside their distinctive approach to sampling and creativity in an increasingly tech-driven culture. 

The session will take place at the Pigott Theatre in the British Library on Thursday 24th September, from 11:00 to 11:45 AM, as part of AVA London’s 2026 conference programme.

‘No Bad Memories’ marks the group’s first album in six years and continues The Avalanches’ long-standing fascination with sampling and musical collage. According to the band, the record draws on sounds from advertisements and technologies that have become embedded in everyday life. Collaborators on the 31-track album include Karen O, Jamie xx, Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza, Prentiss and many more. 

The announcement comes as AVA London continues to expand its 2026 programme, with recent additions including FLOHIO, Jamz Supernova, Fabio & Grooverider, ELKKA, Blawan and Mala, as well as a new panel exploring the future of queer nightlife, presented by Time Out and Gay Times. The new additions join previously announced names including Moby, Oklou, and Shy One.

The three-day event will bring together more than 70 speakers across 30 sessions, spanning electronic music, visual art, technology, and the wider music industry, taking place across London from 24th to 26th September.
