Boards of Canada’s 1996 EP ‘Hi Scores’ is being reissued on vinyl to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
The reissued 12” comes in a gatefold sleeve with four 12” x 12” prints and is available on black vinyl, limited Coke Bottle Green vinyl, and CD. Two new t-shirts are also available to buy separately or as part of bundles with ‘Hi Scores’, exclusively via Bleep.com.
First released in on Andy Maddocks’ Manchester-based label Skam Records, the six-tracker features the early singles, ‘Turquoise Hexagon Sun’ and ‘Everything You Do Is A Balloon’. It was among the duo’s first widely available releases after 1995’s ‘Twoism’.
The reissue marks the first time Boards of Canada’s full catalogue has been available on vinyl since ‘Hi Scores’ was last released on the format in 2014.
The new vinyl edition will be released on 20th November via Warp Records, with pre-orders available here.
The reissue follows ‘Inferno’, the duo’s first new album in 13 years, released in May.
