Björk delivered an eclectic DJ set for the New Chapter edition of Rome’s Dissonanze Festival over the weekend.
Playing the city’s Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone on Saturday (12th September), the performance covered a wide range of artists and styles, including underscores’ ‘Unlimited Love’, ‘The Primitivist’ by ABADIR, and cuts from Nyege Nyege Tapes’ singeli trailblazers DJ Travella and Jay Mita. Tracks from Yaa Naara, Fave, Kasimyn, Theodora and others also feature
Decked out in an outfit by Kit Wan Studios and a mask by Karina Bond, she also dropped in tracks by Arca and Kelela. Björk – who has a new album on the way next year – later uploaded a selected tracklist from the show to Instagram, along with clips of her set, which you can view here and below.
The Icelandic star has got behind the decks at several talked-about events of late, including her own one-day Echolalia festival, which was timed with Iceland’s total solar eclipse on 12th August and took place in Víðistaðatún, Hafnarfjörður.
Arca, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith and several other contemporary artists were also featured on the bill for Björk’s ongoing Echolalia project, of which there is currently an exhibition at the National Gallery of Iceland.
Earlier this year, Björk joined Rosalía on stage at the 2026 BRIT Awards to perform their collaboration ‘Berghain’.
