First Teaser for Takashi Miike’s Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo Enters a World of Corruption

The ever-prolific Takashi Miike, who premiered Blazing Fists and Sham last year, is back this fall with a new take on Bad Lieutenant, following Abel Ferrara and Werner Herzog’s indelible features. Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, starring Shun Oguri, Lily James, and Liv Morgan, will premiere at TIFF next month, and now NEON has debuted the first teaser.

Here’s the synopsis: “A disgraced Tokyo detective spirals into a world of corruption, addiction, and violence as he becomes entangled in a twister investigation involving a vengeful ex-Yakuza, an enigmatic FBI agent, and a missing daughter of a powerful American family.”
